Pillars of Character 5. Good Citizenship

Citizenship means being part of a community and doing your bit to make your community a better place.

A good citizen -

· Cares about the welfare of others in their community

· Volunteers for causes

· Does their best to keep the community clean and safe and finding ways of

improving it.

A good citizen does not pollute or take part in any anti-social behaviour; instead she protects her environment.

You should try to involve everyone in your community and inspire them to do their share in helping the school, family or country to be the best it can be; behaving responsibly, obeying rules and to respect law and order.

Your future is in the hands of you and your peers – let us build a nation of good citizens that are an example to the rest of the world!
