If your hair looks good, it will be the first thing people notice about you and if your hair is bad, that will also be the first thing people notice about you.
Your hair should be trimmed every 4-6 weeks and if you have long hair, you need to have it cut into style every 6 months.
Healthy, clean hair is a great beauty tool and so versatile, especially long hair.
Hair should be as natural as possible. My natural hair colour is mousy – or ‘ash blonde’ as professionals call it. I like to add highlights, sometimes. The idea is that your hair colour should match your natural colouring and it can be slightly enhanced to bring out your beauty, not to make you look completely different.
A new fashion trend is to colour your hair as white, black or red as possible and sometimes even all of the above simultaneously. Chopped styles are also fashionable. Nothing unnatural is ever attractive – stick to natural and you’ll be sure to look good.
Hair standing on end, stiff with styling products is just not cool – it is so 80’s. Everyone who has hair understands that you are at the mercy of the elements and that the wind can play havoc, especially with long hair. Let your hair breath! Rather use a scrunchy to keep it in place and carry a brush on you to tidy it up.
Also be careful with frequent blow-drying and straightening. Let your hair rest and breathe and be sure to use products suited to your hair type, such as shampoo and conditioner for ‘colour treated hair’ and heat resistant products if you are going to blow-dry and straighten.
